The Day I Met A Wooly Mammoth
By Jessica
Once upon a time, my mom the explorer, my dad the scientist and I went exploring in the freezing land called Siberia. Under this huge, frozen log, I found a small wooly mammoth enclosed in an ice block. Dad said, "Let's take it back to the lab." Dad left it on the lab table. I came down later that night and I saw that the block of ice had started to thaw and the wooly mammoth was starting to move. I moved it over by the fire and all the ice melted. There was a live, wooly mammoth in the room. It looked hungry so I went into the kitchen and got it an apple. While it was eating, I was wondering what my mom and dad would say. I found a big box and took it upstairs to my bedroom. I hid it in my closet for the rest of the night. The next morning, I got up and looked in the box and it was gone. I went downstairs to the kitchen and it was there eating candy, fruit, ice cream. It was drinking soda. Then I heard my mom coming, so I hid it in the closet. My mom went into the living room. I took it back upstairs. I put it back into the box, but it didn't want to stay there. I got dressed and took it for a walk in the woods. It became like my own pet because I fed it, I played with it, and I even took it for walks. One day we were walking in the woods and I found its mom, dad, sister, and brother alive. The little wooly mammoth went to its mom. Then I walked back home and my dad said, "Where is your wooly mammoth?" I looked out the window and said, "With its family."
