The Diary and Mystery of the Servant Girl
by Kristin
My parents brought an old house. In the attic there was many old things. I was helping my parents go through the trunks and I found an old diary. I discovered many things about this person. She lived along time ago in the 1700's. She wore and old piece of cloth. It looked like an old robe. I discovered that she was a servant girl that worked for a rich family. The rich family had a girl the same age. Trisha was the name of the servant girl. She was 11 years old. Trisha's parents died in 1708. They died in a fire. Trisha was at her Aunt Sue's house at the time of the fire. Trisha had to work to survive. No one took care of her. Her responsibilities were to clean up after the family. She took her orders from Mrs. Frazier, the head housekeeper. Erin went to an all-girls school for rich girls. She was also 11 years old. She had a mom and a dad. Her father was a carriage maker. Erin and Trish hated each other. Erin would make Trisha work hard. Trisha had to listen to every wish of Erin. Pages of the diary were missing. What I could read was a beginning of an adventure.

Dear Diary,
I had a busy week. Mrs. Frazier made me polish every wooden thing in the entire house and clean the basement. I can't take it any more. I quit! I have to find a life for myself. I am going to run away. I plan on leaving at midnight. I will leave tonight. I never did find the other pages of the diary. I don't know what happened to the servant girl. IT'S A MYSTERY!!!!
